Our Story
Ponomarets was born from a vision to create an unparalleled high-end eBike – one that marries exceptional design, lightness and performance with the finest components. This journey began in 2020 when Roman Ponomarets, a passionate bike enthusiast and seasoned entrepreneur, sought an eBike not just for commuting and leisure, but as a symbol of elegance and top-notch engineering.
Roman's quest was driven by the desire for an eBike that transcended the ordinary. He sought a machine that was light, exquisitely elegant and equipped with superior components. Yet, his search revealed eBikes that consistently fell short: bulky frames, average components and excessive weight. Unwilling to settle, Roman decided to chart his own course and create a brand that would embody his uncompromising vision.
Roman envisioned an eBike that could navigate busy city streets and off-road trails with equal grace, offering riders a sense of freedom and unparalleled quality.
"I wanted to create a bike that would captivate people's hearts," Roman reflects. "A bike so refined and integral to their lives that they couldn’t imagine being without it."
In 2022, Ludwig, who had been closely aligned with the project from its early stages, officially joined the venture. “I was the first convert to Roman’s pursuit of the perfect eBike," Ludwig shares. "Seeing his passion for the ultimate ignite enthusiasm in our engineering team, I knew I was witnessing the birth of something extraordinary.”
Together, Roman and Ludwig have steered Ponomarets to new heights, crafting eBikes that are more than just a mode of transport – they are a testament to the pursuit of perfection and the joy of cycling.
